Church Signage

An Indianapolis church needed a large sign along a main highway as a guide post for its congregation. To standout in this largely business oriented district, the sign was installed at the top of double 12 foot cedar posts with staggered and beveled capping. The long-standing logo and text style were supplied by the church and incorporated into the design.

The dark blue cross symbol was carved separately and glued above the shadow area becoming the highest point in the sign. On larger signs such as this, the router is set to a 1/2" cut, this results in more dimensionality for signs that are seen at a greater distance. The white background was chosen to emphasize the logo style.

This free-standing unit featured a fully reinforced cedar grid on the back of sign for additional strength. An electronic moving letter LED panel was positioned below the sign to inform the congregation of upcoming events and other pertinent information. The church's logo and star/cross was provided by the customer and incorporated in the final design.
