New City Signs

City entrance sign to Prescott, Arizona. City officials required 2" thick redwood as the material to be used. Many narrow boards of redwood were laid-up and glued, then planed down to the exact thickness. We also added heavy steel angle iron to the sides of the sign to prevent any possibility of warping.

The sign was an updated replacement of the original sign that deteriorated badly. The existing steel frame was used for installation of the new city sign. Wood signs of this nature tend to be heavy which necessitates adequate framing for installation. Strata will provide the right information of the type of post work needed to carry your new sign.
