Town Greeting Signs

Town greeting signs were placed at each end of the main civic center within Jones County Mississippi. The funds raised for the purchase of these two city signs was the result of a collaboration between volunteer college students and local business. The county is located in a very picturesque portion in the state of Mississippi that offers many recreational activities.

The cartouche at the top of the sign, along with text style and other elements, was provided to Strata by a local design studio. We worked closely with county officials to ensure that the city entrance signs conformed to existing tourism advertising and promotional materials.

City, town, and community entrance signs offer many advantages. Welcome signs induce motorists to stop and shop at the many shops, restaurants and businesses in the town. Well designed entrance signs encourage tourism and instill pride in its residents.

Because of the southern location, these city entrance signs were produced in HDU. Three conjoined 6" x 6” posts at each end were staggered in height, thus giving the installation the look of permanence and stability.
