Commisioned by the U.S. Forestry Service, this sign is permanently displayed in front of the Forest Management Division. This group provides the inventory and state of our nations forests. This station is located in the Northwest Section of the country.

Redwood is the premier wood sign material. It features even grain and has relatively fewer imperfections. In most cases, it is knot free. It a bit more expensive than cedar and availability of good stock can be a problem. This last point may extend production times.
