Development Signs
Community entrance
signs, although small in size were quite visible for this south Florida,
established subdivision.
The carved bird at
the top of this development sign represented the large population of Egrets
at the nearby lake. The two subdivision entrance signs were replacements
of replacements that were badly weather beaten.
The freestanding
outdoor signs were rendered in bright colors to complement the pastel
colored stucco homes of the development. The community entrance signs
were produced using HDU, which is highly recommended for tropical and
semitropical areas. Two coats of proprietary sign primer are applied along
with two finish color coats to ensure decades of maintenance free service
life.
Cedar postwork for
installation is readily available at any local home improvement store.
Those shown in the photo are inexpensive and include the finials at the
top.
The sign buyers were
delighted with the results, stating that these replacement subdivision
signs gave a new lease on life for this older community.
