Outdoor Wood Signs

The Vannevar Bush Retreat is located just outside Washington D.C. This was a replacement for a badly deteriorated, hand cut original wooden sign. The compound is composed of two buildings, hence, the numerals indicating the address of each building was included at the two lower corners of the sign.

The Strata replacement sign was mounted to the original cedar lumber framework consisting of two heavy cedar uprights with a cross beam across the top. The original chain link was used in installation, with the exception of two new eye bolts affixed to the sign prior to delivery. This single-sided unit was fully reinforced with cedar lumber.
