Hand Painted Signs

This subdivision is nestled in a mountainous area outside of Boise, Idaho. The background sky was airbrushed for a graduated twilight effect. The completion of the community coincided with the appearance of a comet in the western skies. HDU was chosen as the substrate because of its ability to withstand the climactic variables associated with this location.

This double sided sign is installed along the roadway leading into the development. The sign is suspended between two massive stone columns. With the current availability of cast stone and brickwork, masonry columns and monuments can be inexpensively and easily constructed. The visual impact of such an installation cannot be overstated.
